God’s Passion for His Glory: Living the Vision of Jonathan Edwards

Product DescriptionIn his essay The End for Which God Created the World, the great theologian Jonathan Edwards proclaimed that God’s ultimate end is the manifestation of his glory in the highest happiness of his creatures. Pastor John Piper has devoted his years of ministry to exploring the implications of this stunning truth for life and ministry. Understanding that God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him has made all the difference for John Piper—and can transform your life as well. Here Piper passionately demonstrates the relevance of Edwards’s ideals for the personal and public lives of Christians today through his own book-length introduction to Edwards’s The End for Which God Created the World. This book also contains the complete essay supplemented by almost a hundred of Piper’s insightful explanatory notes. The result is a powerful and persuasive presentation of the things that matter most in the Christian life.

Developing Your Own Psychic Powers

July 20th, 2010

Check out this book I just found:

Product DescriptionOn this remarkable six-tape audio program, internationally acclaimed psychic medium John Edward brings you a wealth of information that will help you develop your own psychic powers. The topics he discusses include the following: Meditations: John teaches you how to successfully meditate so you can relax your body, open your mind to the intuitive side, and visualize what you want in life. He emphasizes that the foundation for any serious psychic/spiritual work is to be able to work with energy through meditation. In this vein, he discusses the seven chakras, the vital energy centers located within the etheric body that enable you to process the universal energies around and within you. He then takes you through practical meditation and visualization exercises that help you apply the theory and explanation that he has presented. Psychic Self-Defense: John points out that we protect ourselves in the physical world all the time (locking our doors, wearing a seat belt, taking vitamins, etc. ), but since there is more to us than our physical body, we need to protect ourselves from negative energy as well. Psychic self-defense allows us to maintain the energy in our own auric field and not allow others to affect or drain it. John then has you engage in specific exercises to help you fortify and seal your energy field in order to create a cleaner, clearer mental atmosphere. Angels and Guides: First, John discusses the difference between angels and guides. An angel, he says, is an energy that has never had a physical incarnation, but who can assist, protect, nurture, and inspire the human condition. That is, an angel can take on a human form to get the job done, from time to time, but has never had a lifetime in a body. A guide may have a physical body at one time, and works with you when you choose to incarnate into the physical. John then proceeds to lead you through visualization and meditation exercises to help you meet your guides. Unleashing Your Psychic Potential: John helps you understand your own psychic abilities. He insists that everyone has psychic gifts, but most of the time they have been locked away in the recesses of the mind and need to be developed and recognized. You must give yourself permission to perceive and receive energy, and then use meditation and other tools to unleash your potential. John then takes you through meditations and visualizations that will help you embark on a psychic and spiritual journey. Psychic Tools in the Workplace: John explains that it’s natural to want to apply your newfound psychic abilities to the workplace by doing readings, but he emphasizes that there is a lot of responsibility involved. He discusses spiritual ethics; and also delves into topics such as numerology, crystal gazing, psychometry, tarot cards, dowsing, the I Ching, and rune casting. How to Conduct a Psychic Session: John discusses his basic theories and philosophy about conducting a psychic session. He points out that when you do a reading, your words may have a profound impact on someone’s life, and the goal is always to help. He urges you to be both psychic and spiritual so that you attract positive people and experiences. John then gives you step-by-step advice on actually conducting a session.

REIKI

July 13th, 2010

How does Reiki work? What is it? Where did it come from? Who created it?

These are some of the many questions I am asked about this lifestyle and practice. Reiki is a Japanese way of living with energy and using its healing nature for others. Reiki is a way of life for many people in the world as well as it is for myself. This is a calm and natrual way to live one’s life in peace, love and harmony with the universe. Reiki healing is the work of energy light healing by allowing only bright white positive light and energy to enter a person’s body and pulling out the negative energy that is left inside.

As a Reiki practioner I always take in account any and all ailgments of my clients. I can without a doubt releave almost all the physical pain and guide them through a healthier life style of mind, body and soul. This is truely the most rewarding work I do. To see a person who is in awful crippeling pain leave a session I have done with no pain and no drugs needed is truely humbeling.

Product DescriptionFor the best part of a decade, Los Angeles native Ariel Rosenberg has been carving some of the most intoxicating music going, a reclusive pop surrealist whose corroded productions have led to a cult following that has often been difficult to keep up with. Now signed to 4AD, Ariel Pink s Haunted Graffiti release Before Today on June 8, 2010. With roots going back as far as 1996, the West Coast act are as sublime as they are surreal with a sound loaded with hazy nostalgia and a fiercely experimental pop palette. From the Haunted Graffiti series (from which the full band s name is now derived), which featured the likes of Worn Copy (2005) and House Arrest (2006), Ariel Pink has established himself as one of the most prolific songwriters of his generation, a visionary producer in the vein of Joe Meek and Ariel s hero and previous collaborator, tape deck dilettante, R. Stevie Moore, creating a world through certain production touches.

What If God Were the Sun?

July 5th, 2010

Check out this book I just found:

Product DescriptionIn What If God Were the Sun, psychic medium John Edward weaves a warm and poignant story about one family and their way of dealing with life, love, and death over the generations. John draws upon his vast experience with individuals throughout the world—and their loved ones who have crossed over—to create a timeless tale that will touch the heart of anyone who reads it. People of all ages will be moved by this account of a family that weathers tragedy, bonds together, and passes on healing messages of love from generation to generation. Amazon. com ReviewTimothy Callahan comes from a large Italian American family that loves big gatherings as well as Grandma Rosie’s famous meatball recipe (although he still wishes she’d left out the raisins). But above all else, the Callahans love one another. This may not sound like the makings for high drama or complex fine literature, but that was not what author John Edward was after. As an internationally acclaimed psychic medium, Edward spends most of his days helping survivors work through the seemingly unbearable grief of losing a loved one. As a result, Edward wanted to offer a comforting message about the everlasting love that can bridge even death. In order to get this message across, Edward presents a story about an endearing and seriously devoted family as they endure the final goodbye to a beloved matriarch. Soon after Timothy discoveries that his mother is dying of cancer, the family gathers to view old family movies. While watching the faces of deceased relatives on the movie screen, he begins to ponder the afterlife. “As I look over at my mom, I know that she’s wondering if all these faces of yesteryear will be the faces of her tomorrows. Will she see them when she crosses over? Will her loved ones welcome her on the other side, as we all want to believe? I hope so. ” While his mother’s cancer progresses, the narrator flashes back to his childhood when his mother explained that God was the sun, an epiphany that becomes more tangible as he wrestles with impending death. Readers who don’t expect haute literature will be touched by this tearjerker story that offers tenderness and comfort. It’s also an excellent book to give to those who are open to afterlife discussions and are grieving the loss of a loved one. –Gail Hudson
